Sometimes I am frustrated by job titles that do not convey why a position seems interesting to me, and a good fit for Thinking Food Jobs readers. It takes digging a little deeper into the job description to illustrate why they belong on the list. Here are a couple of examples I came across this week:
World Central Kitchen is hiring for a “Associate, Multimedia”. By reading the job description you will learn that they are looking for someone with a year or more of experience to tell “WCK’s story through multimedia content production, editorial support, media relations, event logistics, and other company communications.” The role requires occasional travel, including international travel with limited notice.
The Times-Picayune/Nola.com have an opening for an Audience Editor and Video Producer, Food & Dining. The job description is much clearer: “We’re looking for a dynamic audience editor and creator who can craft a winning strategy for audience growth and development around our reporting centered on food, dining, bars and restaurants.”
