This week marks the one-year anniversary of my first Thinking Food Jobs post. I’ve posted almost 4000 positions — all paid — that I hope will be helpful to people who are interested in thoughtful, food-related work.
These roles I post include anything from food policy and food systems, food journalism and other media work, as well as opportunities in education, culinary research and recipe development. I try to identify positions that fall outside of fields that have a clearly defined career path (like studying food science to become a food scientist, or going to culinary school to become a chef) and while I do include some agriculture-adjacent roles, I don’t focus on farming. My aim is most everything between the farm and the fork.
