This week I am highlighting opportunities to design or implement food-related curricula in elementary school settings.
FoodCorps has issued an RFP for a food education curriculum for kindergarten through fifth grade students to help them make informed decisions about nutrition and well-being. Submission instructions are found here.
Blue Watermelon Project, based in Maricopa County, California, provides K-12 educators with ingredients and curriculum to use food as an educational tool. They have openings for both a Head of Programs and Project Manager.
Eat Real has developed a certification program for K-12 schools to transform their lunch menus to offer nutritious and delicious options. They have an opportunity for a Manager for their K-12 program and a Director of Marketing. Both positions are listed as remote in San Francisco.
Green Beetz provides educators with a free, ready-to-teach curriculum for 4th-7th graders about the modern food system, nutrition, and sustainability. They are hiring a Culinary Nutrition Instructor and After School Program Manager to work in NYC schools.
